Hmm.. not to impressed for starters. I can understand why so few planes are included in the freeplay but still, as an old FS player it feels kinda simple. Where's my Airbus?

Scenery isn't much of an improvement since previous version, the water doesn't look like water at all...

Yeah, but the fps should be improved. But from what I've heard, you're right, no flight control, little physics and other things that would make this a sim and very little content (few types of missions, 4 sets of passenger voice messages); also, no pedestrians, birds and even your passenger inside the cockpit is invisible. Is that all correct?!

Hehe, haven't played around with it that much yet so I might be a bit premature in my criticism and yes, so far I have better framerate than I do with FSX.

Seen no land vehicles moving at all, and I guess that was a big hit in FSX to framerate. Copilot is invisible yes but he/she always has so that's nothing new.

It's actually quite good fun
much much easier to fly than a proper flight sim, but still fun nonetheless
and you can't argue with the price

Re: New Free to Play on Steam - Microsoft Flight

Yeah, so that's a bit of a disappointment so I'll probably stick to FSX after all.

Though, if you turn all the aids off the planes handle much the same way, but the options are to few really, and buying small addons all the time will probably make it more expensive in the long run so I'd say I can definately argue with the price.

I guess this release is more aimed to the gaming community than to flight sim nuts like me.

This review pretty well sums up my views of it as well: http://www.flyingmag.com/flying-game...disappointment
