GH Review: Civilization 4: Warlords (PC)

Read the review here
________________

Sid Meier's Civilization is a critically acclaimed series that has sold millions of units during its time. The first three titles in the series have each seen two expansion packs, so it was only natural for Firaxis and 2K Games to come out with a release to compliment Civ IV. This expansion, entitled Civilization IV: Warlords, includes plenty of new content to help Veterans keep coming back for more. This add-on for 2005's turn-based strategy game of the year offers a worthwhile experience regardless of your Civilization background.

i love civ & have this exp. while i like it, it is defintely not cost effective unless you play a LOT of civ4.

I've never played civ4... civ2 and Alpha Centauri are two of my all time favorite games, and civ3 was disapponting to me, I might have to check out civ4 and expansions some time.

Zardon: Best aspect of my fav turn-based games (civ2, Alpha Centauri) are the strategic depth and replayability. Modding capabilities and multiplayer are up there too.

zardon - what zelig said. it is what i call a 'clock burner'. you get mutiple expansion/political/overall strategy plans rolling & you just have to keep playing to see them come into fruition.
i like the different civ ai's diverse playing to - u can actually have varied interactions with the various civs. as i like playing the different strategy(s) involved with the various civs.
it is not a fast paced game, but very involving/immersive.
zelig - i think civ4/warlords combo is the best of the series. has pretty good graphics too. i was a hube AC fan to. think that was the best overall game sid came out with. really hoping the caome out with AC2- there are rumours. think civ has run its course for now.

I played all the civ games and love cIV, also warlords.

cIV is extremly addivtive, i always end up playing a game twice as long as planned
You need just one more turn, just one more so your new unit or building is ready
