Splinter Cell announced for Wii

Splinter Cell: Double Agent is heading to Nintendo Wii. This latest adventure for Sam Fisher sees him playing dual roles as he attempts to infiltrate a terrorist network.

"We are very excited to bring Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent to the Wii this Christmas season," said John Parkes, director of marketing at Ubisoft EMEA. "The Splinter Cell franchise has always translated very well across multiple platforms and we are confident that the Wii version will continue the tradition of maximising the capabilities of each respective video game console platform."

We're told the game will make use of the Wii remote to "take stealth moves to a whole new level", though there's no word on exactly how the controller will be implemented just yet.
