Reuters is reporting that it'll be November 22nd for ¥20,790 (about $180 US). Our press release and conversation with Shane Kim are both pretty straight up about November 17th for ¥19,800 ($170 US), so we'll see how it unfurls. Ultimately it shouldn't matter too much to those reading this post, we're still talking about the Japanese release of the device.

Yeah but $200 is well worth it!!!! I can't wait.

To bad you can't buy a PS3 without blueray to make it like $400 or something. To bad for them!

Yeah it's a pretty nice price, 199$ is properly US price, meaning 199€ (245$) in EU and 250$ in Denmark

HUH? Do you really think a HD-DVD should be included as a standard and pushed the totalt price of Xbox 360 150$ up?

I think it's a wise choice MS has done here, keepin the HD-DVD for MOVIES as an external drive, gives people the choice on how much they want to spend on a Xbox 360 system.

You bet! I would have not about the 360 if it was any higher than $400. I had a hard enough time coming up with that much in the first place.

To be honest i dont think a price under 400$ with a HD-DVD drive is a fair prices, HD-DVD drives are not that cheap...
