Top 100 Games of All-Time @ IGN (100 - 51)

Two years ago, we opened the floodgates for readers to vote for their favorite games of all-time. You heard right, not just what you liked in one particular year, but from the entire history of games. The debate over what ended up on the list lit up the message boards. Over the past few weeks, we gave everyone another shot at their favorites again and the results are in!

Nice, Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion made the list. That is a pleasant surprise. I would have put Zero Mission well above Fusion myself but I am just glad they are on the list at all. Zelda: Minnish cap as well (although I would have put Fusion and Zero Mission above Minnish Cap)

And how the heck did Mario Brothers only end up at 82? It is rarely if ever outside the top 10 on these sorts of lists.

zelda links awakening??? Naaa, most other zelda games were better than that one, minus zelda 2 on the nes

I do agree with ff7 and chrono trigger, and I'll add snes' ff3 to that list as well.

That was obviously voted on by a bunch of moron kids that just hit puberty. Zelda only #56? Smackdown #54? What kind of idiots are on ign's site?

10 bucks says most of the top 20 games will be crap kids played on their PS2's and DS cause with Half Life not even making top 50 the validity of it comes into question. The fact that original Mario bros isn't automatically top 5 makes me want to nuke their offices

Hmm maybe top 100 kids games on console list, with sprinkles of odd entries of pc games. That was the crappiest top 100 list I've ever seen, maybe 20 of the games on that list would make it on a list made by any seasoned gamer who has played anything else than consoles and is older than 20. Guess most of the voters weren't even born when elite came out.

I will withhold judgement until I see the whole list. All I can say is that Super Metroid was the #1 on EGM's list and 3rd on IGN's first list so it better be in the top 5 at least on this one. I would say Link to the Past belongs in the top 10, but they will probably put Ocarina of Time there instead because Link to the Past is way underappreciated. Ocarina of time probably goes in the top 30 if you ask me. EGM ranked Link to the Past higher than Ocarina of Time. In the end of all the top 100s I have seen the one I agreed with the most was the EGM one.
