We already know Xbox 360 isn't doing so well in Japan. The hopeful collective believe Hironobu Sakaguchi has a chance at reeling in the RPG folk, but we'll have to wait and see. It's probably inappropriate to compare Microsoft's flailing machine against Sony's new juggernaut, but the first week sales of PlayStation 3 only go to show the incredible gap between the two machines overseas.

the far east is extremely loyal to its own brand for sure, although I think the USA is pretty much the same. if you look at the guys who only buy USA cars/bikes etc. I think the nintendo wii will hammer the PS3 in the far east anyway. Ive been personally impressed by the innovation behind the wii, its in a different kind of zone to the 360 and PS3. I also admire nintendo for the controller structure, I think in the right hands it could actually help some fat geek kids lose weight. commendable !
