Codemasters announces that as of January 4, their MMORPG ArchLord will become a free to play game. Originally planned with a complex tiered PLAYplus subscription system that was scrapped during beta testing (story), the game will now be free-to-play:

Codemasters Online Gaming is pleased to announce that ArchLord will be going Free To Play on January 4 2007.

ArchLord will continue to be fully supported, including the second fantastic update Episode II: Season of Siege. However, players will now be able to access all this great content simply by buying the box; after that it's free!

Umm....Dont buy it. Atleast not now. It sucks bigtime. It's a total clone of Lineage 2, but it sucks bad! Buy L2 and play that instead of this crap
