Ubi Soft has also released new retail patches for Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, updating the international and German editions of this first-person fantasy action RPG by Arkane Studios to version 1.02. This upgrade adds a new "Hardcore" difficulty mode, an intermediary "Texture" setting, re-balanced NPC's throughout the second half of the game, and a large number of crash repairs, gameplay tweaks, bug fixes and other changes.

got mine through steam. because of steam, i was obviously forced to get it. i'm not sure if i like it though. You cannot carry more than 20 Mana potions, and 20 food items (not sure about health potions as i currently carry only 12, but wouldn't be surprised if it were the same).

Looking the the patch list, apparently the random crashing bug as been fixed. that's one good thing
