'Gears of War' (X360) Cleans Out 2007 AIAS Awards

The current Last Vegas D.I.C.E. summit is not only about speeches and announcement, but also awards. Last night's Annual Interactive Achievement Awards was, once again, an overwhelming success for Micrsoft and Epic as Gears of War with no less than 8 awards, Game of the Year being one of them.

Yeah I have and wow what must you be feeling when writing that to justify your every word on this forum?

Anyways, it doesn't really matter... I totally agree that GoW won the awards because honestly, no game comes close in graphical quality, simple yet fun gameplay, wonderful multiplayer and all in all, a true experience of what the Xbox 360 can do

Besides Rainbow Six Vegas. Multi was better, single player had a better storyline, gameplay was better, AI was leagues better, but the only thing Gears had on it was graphics. While it did look better than R6 I found it boring doing the same old thing over and over again with almost no options as far as weapons and tactics go.

Thanks SFOSOK I thought I was the only one. Don't get me wrong I really like GOW although only for the fun multiplayer. I found the single player a bit repetitive and tiresome. What really really bugged me though was the in-built spoiler, you could guarantee before anything interesting happened the game would autosave, pretty much ruining any tension. It was like run run pause save oh right here comes the bad guys. I also found the sniper rifle massively under-used, the enemy were already running toward s you long before you could sneak up on them.
Still multiplayer with a few friends is a gory laugh.
