GH Competition Part Deux: another 100 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. keys up for grabs!

Yesterday we ran a competition to win 100 keys to enter for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl multiplayer beta! which has stirred an incredible amount of interest on our forums.

THQ were so amazed at the demand on our site for these keys and the feedback they received that they have just given us 100 more keys to give away on Gaming Heaven !

This time, things are a little different. Each day you have a chance to win a key out of a batch of 20 by simply answering a question correctly. At the end of each day, ill be randomly picking 20 people who answered correctly and sending them a key.

All answers to these questions can be found somewhere on S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl website. Can be either publisher or developer site, so you need to look around a bit !

The first question for today is: "The story of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a hypothesis based on real events that took place in the XXXX"

If you know the answer for XXXX then post your answer in this thread.

For example "The story of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a hypothesis based on real events that took place in the 1850's"

Answer: The story of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a hypothesis based on real events that took place in the 1980's.

(however, the quote from their site has the sentence as: "The background story for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is built as a hypothesis of real events to have taken place in the 1980's." -- just to show I did go to their site to check the answer and not just copy/paste from others posting here.....)

Ahh the 1980's women with bad clothing and big hair, horrible Music, and in April of 1986 The nuclear accident in the former USSR . The claims about that huge radio antenna are creepy to say the least, weaponized mind altering radio emissions... scary as hell and a GREAT storyline for the Game. Will be looking foreward to this one hitting the shelves!
