When it comes to RPGs, Bioware are without equal. They have created wonders such as the Baldur's Gate series, quite possible the best fantasy RPG ever created, as well as given tools to the community with the hugely successful Neverwinter Nights. After a brief adventure in space in the form of Knights of the Old Republic, they sought a new challenge the result of which was Jade Empire for the Xbox. While not the pinnacle of their work, it was still a great game with few flaws – one of them being its relatively repetitive gameplay. Another glaring problem, one which has been recently fixed, was the lack of a PC version. It might be worth seeing if that’s the only issue that was fixed.

well I was just lookin for a reason to pick it up and play it again. I have it for my xbox though and it seems not to have changed too much. Graphically and content mostly.

Maybe I'll play through it again on xbox but I don't think I will buy it.

Edit: I was talking about the game being as expected also. Review was awesome.

I love the game. Best with gothic 3 what I've played during last year. I use xbox360 pad to play this title. I have been waiting this for a long time and it's even better I've expected. I don't have xbox so I haven't played this earlier.

Great review but as for my opinion, it should be reviewed as a single standing game, not as a pc version of the xbox-game.

I would have loved to do that... 2 years ago. But as it stands the game IS a port, and people who own the original should probably be told if there are enough differences to warrant another purchase. And those that don't have the game yet should know what to expect - a high quality port of a 2 year old Xbox game with some extra tweaks and a decent control scheme.
