The life of a game reviewer involves lots of travel to exotic locations and, occasionally, rescuing the daughter of a powerful United States senator from the jungle hideout of a South American drug cartel. Often there are machine guns. In a way, it's not so different from the experience that players will have in Techland's upcoming globetrotting mercenary game, Warhounds. We recently sat down with the Polish developers to see just how the game is shaping up.

The new game is basically a Rambo-style first-person shooter that has the player running around the world helping beleaguered governments, rescuing kidnapped celebrities, assassinating dictators and druglords and basically working to prevent the largest terrorist attack in the history of the world. Though the missions and enemies are predictable (at least to anyone who has ever been to the movies), the action is fast, frantic and furious enough to satisfy most FPS junkies.
