There have been plenty of point-and-click action RPGs that've tried to knock Blizzard's Diablo off its infernal throne, but few have close to succeeding. Encore's Sacred was one such title that attempted to distinguish itself by virtue of its open-ended and simply enormous game world. While not without its problems, the game certainly offered plenty of content and a rich fictional history for gamers to explore. Encore has decided to return to the world of Ancaria in Sacred 2, a prequel set approximately 2,000 years before the original game and hosting a number of improvements and changes, most notably in the area of avatar and class customization. We sat down with Encore's Creative Director Hans-Arlo Wegner to discuss the latest in the Sacred series.
