Half-Life 2, Doom 3 Assets in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.?

This week, threads have started showing up on various forums containing what appears to be evidence that GSC Game World's recently released shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl makes use of a number of graphical assets taken directly from commercially released games such as Valve's Half-Life 2 and id Software's Doom 3. Many forum posters are speculating that the assets were used without authorization.

Yikes, thats pretty bad. It would be funny if after all this time, the game was taken from the shelves over something like this.

I think so... ID and Valve are gonna start looking into this... Sucks if it turns out to be true!

So this is why they delay releasing a good patch. They are probably waiting for Valve to fix it first.

I remember back in the original "Leak" reading on a forum there was some Quake 3 material in the "leak".

One way or the other I am really interested to see what route this takes in the legal arena.

Certain sounds appear to be similar to those from CSS, alot of textures with similar names to doom 3 and hl2 textures (and visual similarities). If memory serves there is rumor going around that there is also material stolen from battlefield 2 in the game as well.
