Need for Speed games have always had a broad audience. Except for Porsche Unleashed which catered to a more serious and demanding crowd, all NFS games put speed and easily accessible racing before all else. The latest installments strayed from the original formula somewhat though – the influence of the movie Fast and Furious is apparent in all of them. The latest, Carbon, is no different. Illegal street racing in the middle of the night is the name of the game and it is up to you to take down various gangs by winning race after race!

Gaud, i thought Porche unleashed was one of the best in terms of quality graphics and true physics (for the time)

I still like NFS 4 HS (2 player on one machine should have NEVER been removed, EVER)
NFS3 has the best Hot Pursuit cops, i don't know, NFS4 HS has really really stupid cops.

NFS6HP2, that was fun, but i haven't played much of any other NFS after that. not even most wanted.

I think EA needs to work on another full blown title instead of constantly resurrecting the fast and the furious crap. I was hoping that Carbon might have gone a completely different route. but alas, it's just underground 3.

LOL proof that 360 is just as powerful as playstation 3. Thats good to know!

But, i am only a fan of the old nfs games. I own NFSII, NFSIISE, NFS3, NFSHS, NFSPU, NFSHP3. I think EA needs to go back to its roots and bring back the old style of play.

These new nfs games are silly.

I agree, the new NFS are quite annoying given that Fast And Furious is their inspiration but honestly, Most Wanted is very decent. No need to "pimp" your cars, its in daylight and you got supercars

Carbon sorta let me down because it went back to the "NFS Underground" style

Funny thing, i am using windows98se and i can no play nfs I. I mean i can play it, but none of my usb controllers work, looks like something is wrong with the game. The rest of the NFS games work fine tho.

Anyway, lets hope EA goes back to its roots soon.
