GAME refuses to stock Oblivion for PS3

Leading High Street retailer GAME is refusing to stock copies of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the PlayStation 3.

The title, developed by Bethesda and published on the Sony console by Ubisoft, is not available in any of the company's 400 UK and Ireland stores.
The title has seen considerable success on the Xbox 360 and PC, selling over three million units and winning numerous awards including gongs from the American Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and the UK's BAFTAs.

So they can get free Press, then in a week when they decide to change their mind their game sales will doube.

I don't buy that. They are only losing out on sales as the game is snapped up from other retailers. My guess is GAME wasn't getting enough % of the sales compared to other games they sell so they dropped the title.

Although i don't have a PS3 or have any interest in the game,Surely that is far from the reason.

Any store that takes in Pre-order reservations will not play this game.After all if this was the case,Surely the customer would simply Buy the game from a different store/online sales included.I don't see how driving customers away for a short period of time and then releasing the game for sale is supposed to work.

They are doing the uk a favour imo. Oblivion has got to be the most overrated game of thepast few years aside from GTA and Halo.
