Company of Heroes isn't just another World War II RTS; it's arguably the best overall WWII game ever, and a culmination of Relic's love for that war. Sure, Relic might have released serious sci-fi games before delivering CoH (Homeworld, Warhammer 40,0000: Dawn of War), but observant players would have spotted the WWII-era depth charge in the company splash screen dating back to Homeworld.
