Free ad-supported play for select titles available on May 31 on GameTap

GameTap is still sticking to its monthly subscription model. But starting on May 31, it will also begin letting non-subscribers play select titles from their library for free on their site. The catch: You’ll have to submit yourself to banner advertisements via their new Lite Player.

There will be over 30 games available to play for free on GameTap, including Rampage, Bust a Move, and Joust. But not all of these titles are old school classics. Some of them are just old, like the Neo Geo puzzler, Joy Joy Kid. And some of them are relatively recent releases that received a mild reception from critics, like American McGee’s Scrapland.
