A Word About In-Game Ads on the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Official Community Site reveals plans to include in-game advertising in Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, saying this will fund post-release support for the upcoming multiplayer shooter:

Hi, I'm Neil Postlethwaite, Splash Damage's Managing Director and one of the Producers on Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars. I'd like to talk to you today about the in-game advertising we have[COLOR=#ffff80] [/COLOR]in ETQW.

Yea, I was pretty much pissed off after I read this. I remember in one of the interviews Paul Wedgewood said that they will NOT have any ingame advertisement, but that was a long time ago. BUT! To be honest, they are maybe even right about those ads. I mean, TDU had ingame ads, I even liked them because they added a level of realism and they were non intrusive ( ads were not shoven in your face, they were static in environment( billboards) ). I'm sure they will implement ads the same way TDU guys did and they'll just improve the experience
