Vivendi Games publishing label Sierra Entertainment has now officially announced that Massive Entertainment's real-time strategy game World in Conflict is in development for Xbox 360. Today's announcement follows confirmation last week that further details on the console game would be coming soon.
UK-based Swordfish Studios, acquired by Vivendi in 2005, will be translating the game to Microsoft's home console platform with the supervision of Swedish developer Massive. According to Vivendi, the game will feature a redesigned HUD and controller-optimized gameplay to ensure the game feels at home on a console. It will support 16-player online battles. Sierra sent along
several Xbox 360 screenshots.
