Sales of PS3 double in Japan

Sales of Sony's PlayStation 3 have doubled in Japan, with data from Media Create showing that the console has shifted 28,829 units for the week ended July 29, compared to just over 12,000 for the previous week.

Sales of Nintendo's DS and Wii have dropped for the same period, although the consoles continue to record strong numbers with over 150,000 units and 77,000 units, respectively.

Well I am not sure if the price drop was in Japan but if it was there is your answer!

I could only hope it was just to show Sony once and for all that the console is just to high in price!

Well if I posted my reasons why I support HD-DVD in my sig it would be longer than anyone would care to read lol.

I am just trying to help HD-DVD win so we can move on with our lives and will not have to worry about the format war!

In case you think Blu-ray will win the choice is yours but HD-DVD will win you just sit back and watch!

since i just got a ps3 i am in the bd camp but i d oagrre that the format war needs to go away. one way or the other
