Eidos reveals new Wii RPG

Eidos has lifted the lid on Monster Lab, a new action RPG for Wii, in development at Backbone for a 2008 release.

A bunch of monsters are causing all sorts of malarkey, scaring people and being generally unpleasant, and you, playing as Professor Fuseless, is the dude who's got to stop them.

As a story-lead action RPG, you use customisable monsters to fight in Pokémon-style turn-based battles, with hundreds of parts that you can use to create your fighting team.

As you'll have guessed, there'll be plenty of mini games that promise to use the Remote in different ways. Eidos is also looking at including online gameplay, presumably to allow for global battles and monster trading.
