Halo 3 leaked online

Microsoft and Bungie's Halo 3 has been leaked onto the internet, with multiple file-sharing sites hosting the highly-anticipated shooter.

Uploaded within the past 24 hours, the 6.14 gigabyte file has been hacked and will be playable on illegally modified Xbox 360 consoles.

It's the latest upset to hit the release of the game, which isn't officially due until early next week.

Actually, I was surprised. All 360 games get cracked but to get it nearly a week before the release date is quite the feat. MS must be freakin' livid right now because even if you don't have a modded 360 just hearing that others are playing the game may compel them to do also mod their xbox.

It does suck for people that get to play Halo 3 before us the people who have to buy the game.

If my understanding is correct those people who have the console thats hacked can't play online right? If thats the case they only can play single player so thats fine with me. All I care about is the MP!

And I was thinking about this: If they can play online I don't understand why they have to let pre-released games connect to xbox live? They should keep those games from connecting and if you are a special person for reviewing or whatever the case could get a token from MS and enter it in to unlock the MP in the pre-released game? Just an idea but I would figure if it's possible they would have already done it.

Actually they can play online. MS' modding detection was counterhacked in few weeks and again there are no problems playing online with hacked console.

I have a friend who's playing H3 online at the moment. I might step by him later...
