Crysis – Detail Levels Compared

In addition to the Crysis system requirements we have released yesterday evening, we would like to provide you with some ingame screenshots of a Crysis level. They show the different detail settings of the game, beginning from low up to very high. This should give you a good overview what graphic quality you can expect on your system.

Hmm, I think I prefer the medium settings. Clearer picture and less foggy.

DX10 one looks very realistic

Either the Sun is too high, or there is smok over the island that only appears with dx10 settings.

the sun appears to be going down, so i would assume that dusk it starting to set in. looks about right to me.

Thing with screens is they don't always do the game justice. You really have to see them in action.

I will eat a baby in exchange for a video card that can max this. Honestly though, farcry was kinda just a tech demo and sucked as a game. Technically it was awesome with the dense brush but even aesthetically it was too shiny and cartoony. I dont see anything different with Crysis, although I want to. I like the engine, but we need STORY to go with it.

I bet all maxed out at 1080p resolution DX10 on a system that could always push high FPS with high levels of AA and AF, it would look and feel very realistic. That last shot looks very complex. The only problem I see in the last DX10 shot is that some of the textures appear to be very low res.. Look at the wooden boxes up front on the right.. very low res, much higher on the shot before. I would hope that is an oversight or bug.

edit- what the heck, screenshot-

low texture for DX10? hmmm.....

really cool detailed fog affect though...
