half life 2
The best game series i've played so far in my life has been the half life series
And half life 2 and its expansions make the series just perfect
Graphics,sound,story and how can i forget,the gravity gun(There wouldn't be any real time physics in any games today IMO if it weren't for the gravity gun)
it was pretty damn fun too!!!!

And Half life series has been a modders best friend over the years(no questions there)

another one of my recent favorites has to be Portal

Intuitive and unique gameplay that actually makes u think
The gameplay is fun and is literally "One of a Kind"
I never thought being a lab rat would be so much fun
Hours of gameplay that gave my brain a work out
And only Valve would have the guts do a game like this which has never been attempted before

Sarcasm,Sound effects and down right dead sense of humor from that computer also drives u on to finish the game

My favourite valve game is the original Half Life. Was the best game of it's time. I jumped out of my skin plenty of times and wasted ammo blasting everywhere but at the alien that ambushed me. And nothing beats the giddiness I felt inching along the cliffs. Pre-rendered, sure but made my stomach jump and twist around nonetheless.

My favorite Valve game is Team Fortress 2. True Story: I was playing as the doc, and every time I killed someone with the bone saw I would yell into my microphone with my sadistic german doctor accent, "Zat looked painful!". I think my impression may have been a bit off, someone said I sounded like Arnold Schwarzenegger meets Alvin and the chipmunks

. Before long I had wracked up nearly 40 kills with the saw, and was kicked for spamming voice chat

, but man it was awesome!

My favourite Valve game is - by the way - FOR SURE the first part of Half Life. When I first met Gordon Freeman I totally fell in love and my life was halved by the game...

the same story with the upcoming Half Lifes... now if I get the ATI 3870 they have to change the name to Full Life, because then it takes even more time of my real life!

My favorite Valve game was telling my little brothers and their friends there was something stuck in the end of the water hose in the back yard, but I'd tell them not to touch it and wait till dad got home. At that point, I'd merrily walk on my merrily way. Of course, being unable to resist the boyish urges to investigate the unknown they would go and pick it up and peer inside ever so intently to see what I was talking about, at which point I'd secretly turn the Valve on and near drown them. Then I'd run to my bedroom, lock the door and play Half Life... which wasn't just any game to me at the time. It was an encounter with a whole new world, and that was something that no other game had brought me to before ...

I learned some of my best FPS moves distroying my keyboard on Counter-Strike!!..
once i remember I spent like 19 houres strait on this damd thing just to finish the entier game.. just couldn't help it...

they let me out of the nut'z house after that.... LOL

Half Life 1 and all it´s mods! Why? Well ask my dad, I kept blocking our telephone line and produced incredible telephone bills (no flatrate at dialup times

) to get the latest mods and patches! And afterwards, the line was blocked because of me playing it....and hey, it was worth it (in my opinion that is, my dad...well....he once cut the modem line with scissors

). And all those LAN nights and weekends...our parents thinking we all become serial killers.....we didn´t! I remember having to clean a kitchen for 5 hours because I forgot taking out my Chili while playing Counterstrike on a LAN (BNC networking that was..."you want to reboot? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!") and it exploded in the microwave after ~30 minutes..... You see, for all that trouble I deserve to win

half-life 1 must off been the best FPS for its time. fridays 5 min. before the bell rang me and my friend aal sat at the end of our seats to be the first one in the computer lab. man it was still ball mouses. payed R15 (+/- $2) for 3 hours of play. best days of school...

That would have to be The entire Half life series more notably Half Life 2 Episode 2 as for the constant throwing of hints & nudges for Gorden Freeman & Alex to get it on to repopulate the planet.

I also love CS as well its one of the best all time multiplayer Strategy FPS games me and my mates love playing it! (i usually am always on the winning team as i send my mates in first then i hide around the corner and wait for the enemy to come running past then i pump them full of hot virtual metal.

No game out there as awesome as Red Orchestra there is realism just ooozing out between all those polygons and pixels.
The pace is real world not like COD's frantic bloodbath, you have to aim and even chamber a new round for your mouser, rather than just spray the street.
The AFV combat is gut wrenching, looking through your range finder to realize that your T-34 76 mm round just bounced off the front glasis plate of a Panther, as his turret swings towards you...
Dont try and tell me Battlefield is half as realistic.
This was a Mod that took wings and thank God it did. I cant stop playing it period.
