i just played Team Fortress 2 recently on my friends 360
it was so much fun playing as spy
making the enemy think ur on their side and then stabbin them in the back when they least expect it
lotsa fun

id even put it up there with the likes of Half Life series and Portal in terms of pure fun

My favourite Valve game is of course the one where you have to post stuff at Driver Heaven and they give you a graphics card as a reward.

My favourite VALVe game is Half-Life Source (with HD Pack Source): It combines one of the best games of the last ten years with Source Engine.

(But thanks for HL2 Deathmatch. )

One of my favorite source games is countersrike. Nothing beats knife fights with friends!

Steam is for Natural Selection !

I love HL1!!!

I run Natural Selection Mod on Steam, the of the best mods for HL1 ever
:: Natural Selection ::

A very great game, and they are working on a HL2 Engine Based version that should go retail!

Game works great on my ATi 9800, but would not play the HL2 version when it came it very well.

My favorite valve game: Css

I remember, about a a year and a half ago, making "the switch" from the original counter strike, to counter strike source...
I hopped into my very first game with great excitement. "GO GO GO" shouted the voice when the round began. Everybody rushed forward, leaving me in the dust.
I sat around for maybe 30 seconds when I heard yet another voice: "the bomb has been planted." Now was my time to shine, I thought. I would deactivate the bomb and bring a win to the counter terrorist team.
I rushed to the scene, the beeping of the bomb growing louder with each step I took. When I arrived at the bomb site I quickly surveyed the area, only to discover that it was completely unguarded!

At this point in the game, my curiosity unnoticingly stepped in. "What if," I thought to my self, "I stand on the bomb and dont defuse it?". My thoughts raced... "And when the bomb explodes, how will my body be propelled in the air?" I continued to ask myself these questions until the beeping had finally come to an end, and I found myself watching a 10 second acrobatic show. My in-game character, when coerced by the explosion of the bomb, flew high up in the air with such realism and grace. All in all, I was not disappointed.

That being said, the experience descirbed above has not been repeated since that time, as I am no longer new to the revamped version of counter strike.

And thats just one of the reasons why css is my favorite game.

Counter-Strike is and probably will remain my all time favorite. It's a game that's so effective and so addicting that I believe Valve will have a hard time in getting the user base attached to another game.

I have NEVER seen a game so successful as Counter-Strike, which would explain how even though it's based on an engine that should be archaic, it's not.

~ of course, a new card will allow me to switch over to the much shinier Source.

Hmmmm....I'd have to say Half Life 2 for single player. I was addicted...couldnt even make it outside for smoke breaks...ended up buying a can of dip.

The graphics is what surprised me at first and the engine with how smooth everything, ran pretty much got an instant erection. The game also had a great story to go with it and the chick was pretty sexy...I know Valve put a little extra time in on her . Well now that this makes me sound like a perv....moving on....

I'd have to say Counter Strike for Multiplayer....Who hasn't played it? I'm pretty much the worst person there is when it comes to trying to own people but then again if there weren't people like me who could go around telling everyone how amazing they are. Both are still extremely fun to pop in every so many months and play em all over again. Well done.

Highly anticipated title, it shook the foundations of the industry when released. Its story and lambda symbols redefined the genre and the definition of cool.
Ambushing soldiers while riding on a tram earned me my reputation of being a sneaky bastard. It was a challenge outwitting the non-linear, unpredictable Ai.
Limiting your weapons to a trusty old crowbar in the middle of the game was a clever twist of the plot. It made you thread carefully on that older complex turf.
Finding a keycard to unlock the next level was fortunately absent throughout this ride.A very welcoming gameplay change in the fps genre's structure for once.

I was never really one to play FPS. I was always the guy stuck in the corner or getting shot repeatedly before I ever even saw an enamy. But then playing TF2 things just seemed to fall into palce. While still far from being a superstar I did manage to mop up a few goons. Feels nice when at the end of a game you get to see something other than a goose egg in number of kills.

I need this card to play Crysis, because floating around the "Core" level, with a little David Bowie playing the backround, will nearly fullfill my dreams of being lost in space.

Portal, hands-down.

There has not been a game experience more fresh and invigorating and AMAZING since... I can't think of what might come before it, but hopefully you get the picture. It was beautiful, smart, fun and amazing. Also, the cake was delicious.

Seriously! It was! My friend made the cake recipe as rattled off by GLaDOS' blue... head. It was so delicious and moist! Now THAT is value for a game: A great game AND delicious cake.

As a note, I live in Colorado, USA now, not Sydney, AUS.

My favourite Valve game is their casual title, Steam. If I have a few minutes to spare, I can always browse the store, or look at the Penny Arcade comics, and I enjoy the occasional humour, such as the enthusiastic announcement "You're already a member of 0 groups!"

Definatly Half-life2 (original). I had just gotten my new system and was able to crank up the settings to the very maximum, and wow the game looked wonder. The story dragged me in instantly and i felt like i was in the game. And later into the game, with all the action happening with the ships and rockets flying all over the place, so intense and such action i hadn´t seen ever...

And all those "cutscenes" (when you wander around by friends in e.g. stations..), when the action actually "pauses" is the most beautiful i have ever seen in a game..

Definitely

I always thought that the C&C:Red Alert could be a great alt-history movie. But I do not think that good movie could be made out of Halflife. One would miss the whole experience without playing the complete serial. It simply can not be better then this. Halflife 2 IS my favourite game and it's pity Halflife 1 could not look this beautifull. I can hardly wait for the 3rd episode.

Vegan Veggin'

Well, I'm not a vegan but you can catch me veggin' to a couple of titles - not a tried, true, and old fps but something with a historical touch. I've logged more hours playin' Medieval 2 than years have since passed.
