I really like the game from Valve Portal because it makes you think a lot and this way it develops your brain. It is not like the regular games point-and-shoot.

I really like the game Half-Life 2,because,even if it is only single-player,it can catch you so much in the game, and obliges you to play it until the finish.

I really like all the games from Valve, especially Half-Life series, because they always thought about the players with low level configurations, and played excellent on almost any configuration.Even the next-gen Half-Life 2 has a very beautiful DX8 scaling,so anyone with an older card can play it,and there are very few graphics differences.

I really like the game Half-Life Source because the developers struggled to remake the original with better textures, and this is a thing to appreciate a lot,not many developers do this.

I really like the game Half-Life 2 because, like all the games on this engine, offers a 3D test for the video cards,so you can see if it worths it to play the game with the current settings or you've got to modify them.It is also like a benchmark, and you can upload you score to Valve servers.

I really like to play Half-Life 2 from Valve because the game concentrates on the story, and not on mass destruction, where you destroy also your keyboard and mouse.

I really like the game from Valve named Half-Life 1 because it was the best game in the FPS genre, and had top notch graphics in its time, and ran on almost all hardware because of the engine that was very well made.It even ran with full graphics on a Voodoo 2.

I recently bought the orange box and started anew with halflife 2, and it is very cool. graphics are very good, considering how old the game is.
But Team Fortress 2 takes the cake. they took all the good from the old Team Fortress, put it in a new skin, and made it even better then it was!
Kudos for Valve, they really made a very good MP game with TF2

Half Life 1 all the way! I find it very difficult to play through an entire game (ie, I have a very short attention span, and am far to busy with other things); however, I remember bieng so immersed in VALVe's first breakout title that I stuck to it and finished the single player campaign. It took me something like 2 years, playing on and off for 5-15 minutes at a time, but I did it!

The Real Reason

Another prime candidate for HL1 being my favourite Valve title is the fact that it is utilizes the only engine from the aforementioned company that runs like a champ on my decidedly antiquated hardware.

My favorite Valve game is Half Life 2 (and this is probably solely because I sadly have not gotten TF2 yet ) because no other game makes me want to be a head crab on an in game character.....ie. Alyx

alright....i know this is gonna be a drop in a very large bucket. but here it goes. My fave Valve games has got to be Half-Life 2. as far as visuals it's still THE game that stands out in my mind. From the opening sequence i kept saying to myself..."this is the most gorgeous thing i've ever seen." and then i reach the next area...and the next...i would spend hours and hours playing in the water and watching the reflection of the world. Lost Coast picked up from there upping the ante. but HL2 still remains #1 for me.

Well, i gave it a shot for the 8800, but i was chosen just like freeman was.
Ill say valve's best is CS, i used to be those fat sofa crunching no clothes on eat potatoes and drink coke man.
Now I'm totally over it ! really.
The tremors are almost over. i stopped cursing when i try to shoot someone and miss, even when i do it in my neighborhood. and hey! i can even walk to the sides normally again ! the strafing is gone.
So what if one my hands is limp from all that camping and sniping, and my brain is so fucked up i can only see with night vision. IT WAS WORTH IT!

:P Hope ill get it this time $_$

My favourite Valve game has to be, without a doubt, the original Half-Life, which had me riveted from beginning to end! It had it all at the time: great graphics, innovative gameplay ideas, and a compelling and interesting story that kept me playing just to see where the game would take me next! 8)

Half-Life 1 is without doubt my favorite Valve game of all-time. It was just so INNOVATIVE! The graphics were great, the storyline was intriguing, it had a HUGE overall map, it had spots of humor (a great touch, that) and it took many hours of play before you finally reached the end. Oh, and it's also the only game to actually make me jump out of my chair the first time one of those damned headcrabs sprang out at me from inside a heating duct!

All in all, Half-Life 1 will forever remain at the top of the All Time Great Video Game charts.
