Video game giants in $18bn merger

The companies behind Call of Duty and World of Warcraft are merging in a deal which could shake up the global video games industry.

Activision and Blizzard have said they will form "the world's most profitable games business" in a deal worth $18.8bn (£9.15bn).

fascinating to read that Starcraft, released almost 10 years ago is still played by millions of South Koreans in cyber cafes.

Hows that for longetivity !

And they're still patching bugs in Starcraft, which was less buggy than most games are now on release.

That's a big move.

Good for starcraft but I still play Colonial Conquest (1986-7) and Empire (1984) (though earlier versions exist).

Of course I am just one.

Or go for Vivendi shares, they'll have a majority stake in Activision Blizzard now, as well as 20% of NBC Universal, all of Universal Music Group, along with a couple telecom companies.
