Dark Sector Preview @ GameSpy

Source: GameSpy
_____________
Our first encounter with Ontario-based Digital Extremes' Dark Sector took place a year ago as D3 officially unveiled the game. At that point there was no hands-on, but its core gameplay inspiration was immediately evident, especially on the heels of Gears of War's hype. This third-person shooter/action title makes no bones about utilizing the over-the-shoulder camera from Epic's title. It's also got its own unique flair, as you'll use a glaive to slice your way through the mutants you'll face in the game's fictional Soviet breakaway republic. After logging in some time on a beta build of the first four single-player chapters (details regarding its multiplayer are still under wraps), Dark Sector feels like it'll be a respectably fun time-waster.
