The Witcher Website now offers downloads of a playable demo for The Witcher, CD Projekt's recently released action/RPG, though word is "Links currently don't work for people in United States - the appropriate ones will be given as soon as possible." To that end, manual downloads are available from ComputerGames.ro and Gamer's Hell. The demo is accompanied by this blurb: "We encourage anyone who’s been on the fence about the game to check out the demo and to begin their adventures in the world of The Witcher."

No, I am looking for torrents for the DEMO of the game. Finding the torrents for the full game is easy. I am looking for the demo.

The links for me are unfortunately mostly useless cause my new connection doesn't let this type of downloads to continue for more than a min or so. With torrents I have no problems downloading at 500-800k for like ever.

No problem.... i was just going to ask which one may of been quicker..most of the links was extremely slow yesterday.I had to postpone my download.Try again later.

@BlueMak: Does your new ISP limit your downloads? That's insane!!

Have you simply tried some download managers that allow you to just resume without losing what you've already downloaded?

The ISP doesn't limit downloads, none of the ISPs here in Greece do, at least as far as I know.
They don't limit the speed either, I am in an old neighbourhood and the connection speed I can get max (real) is about 15mbit, from a 24mbit that is in theory.
However it seems that (not just me btw) if I A) try to download a large file (one that would take at least more than 3-4 min) then the download just stops. B) If I try to access a site it will not load. I have to wait to get the error that the page could not be loaded, then hit refresh, then it will load properly.
Both of the above are no matter what browser I use.

When using Steam or a P2P program I have no such problems.
I can't explain it, but I can live with it.

I wonder how long till there is a torrent for the demo.
