Midway confirms Austin studio layoffs

Midway has confirmed the layoff of a number of staff at its Austin studio.Yesterday, the company announced the departure of CFO Thomas Powell and senior vice president Steve Allison.

In addition to the resignations, the company has now confirmed layoffs at its Austin studio, but it has characterised the action as routine.

"There was a minor layoff in our Austin studio following the completion of a project there," a Midway representative told GamesIndustry.biz.
