World Of Warcraft Hits 10 Million Subscribers

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that World of Warcraft has recently passed 10 million subscribers worldwide since its launch on November 23, 2004. According to Blizzard, WoW now hosts more than 2 million subscribers in Europe, more than 2.5 million in North America, and approximately 5.5 million in Asia.

Since Asia always seems to have the most users in any game why is that?

Maybe it's just because they have the most people? I just don't understand that.

That could be our looming recession right there. All them zombies
at home instead of out and about and “consuming”. Instead of being
holed up for days going to town on a game… Game makes people
Disappear for months. It online community offering virtual friends etc..
eats away at people normal social abilities / socializations.

more gameaholics, People play games until they DIE from sleep deprivation / nutritional deprivation.
People selling / buying "virtual items". . Seems at lest weekly there some etreeme story. The goverment
has had to make anti gameing laws/restrictions for internet cafes etc...Killling and sueing people over in
game desputes and virtual items. Its a hole nother kind of crazy when in comes to asia and RPGs
