Audiosurf Now Available on Steam,Update Included

Rack up points "riding" your favorite music in Audiosurf, Dylan Fitterer's innovative new title now available on Steam. Exclusive to the Steam version, Audiosurf includes The Orange Box soundtrack, integrated with the game to enable "Still Alive" surfing and more.

Audiosurf is a music-adapting puzzle racer where you use your own music to create your own experience. The shape, the speed, and the mood of each ride is determined by the song you choose. You earn points for clustering together blocks of the same color on the highway, and compete with others on the internet for the high score on your favorite songs.

Audiosurf is one of the first titles to leverage the recently announced Steamworks, offering full support for the Steam Achievements that appear on Steam Community profile pages.

Updates to Audiosurf have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Refreshes track graphics after a minimize

Spotlight finish now requires an elite character

I wish they would release a demo. It seems like it's a pretty cool game but I would want to try it first.

They have released a Demo.. you will find it Here (it's already mentioned in the opening post)

Careful, the demo is limited to a few songs, 5 I think. Visit the Options first if you want to test something.

I really didn't read the whole post because I knew about it from Steam but I didn't see a demo when I was on there last night. This is great. 5 songs would at least give people a try on how it works and see how fun it could be.

Awsome game, I'm going to pick this up tonight. To those that haven't seen it, there is a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure it out, the game really come together.

I love the way indy games like this are finally getting attention.

Is it possible to use a joypad with it?
I could use a program I have to set keyboard to the pad, but would be nice if there was something native.
