In-Game Communication Coming to PS3 in 2.4 Firmware

Gamers trying to play with their friends on PlayStation 3 have found it a less convenient experience compared to those playing online Xbox Live.

Xbox Live gamers may message their friends, even if they are engaged in another game, in order to play together. But such an option is not yet available for PS3 online players.

According to comments made by Sony Computer Entertainment UK’s Ray Maguire, the PlayStation 3 will soon have in-game communication options from an upcoming firmware update.
