Publisher Midway has announced that the eighth entry in its Mortal Kombat fighting series' will pit the franchises' characters against the legion of superheroes contained within the DC Comics universe.

Agreed, it's a retarded idea.

Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter makes infinitely more sense but since those two franchises are in competition with each other it's not likely to happen.
