EA reports 15 double platinum titles in 2008

Electronic Arts has revealed that it was the number one publisher across all platforms in 2008, with a 19 per cent share of sales in North America and a 20 per cent share in Europe.

WTF?? The 2008 Fiscal Year is not even over yet... ???? October isn't here yet.. (Fiscal year = October YearX-1 -> September YearX EX: Fiscal Year 2008 = October 2007 -> September 2008) ...

i though the fiscal/financial year was July to June??

I did some reading on what a fiscal year is. I quoted what appears to be the U.S governments standard fiscal year, but apparently for the lack of consistency the term fiscal year is starts and ends from whatever month they feel like making it start and end from... yay.. So basically unless you own stock in EA I doubt you would know when their fiscal year starts and ends. Heck it may start on May and end in April... Consistency please...
