When will the next next-generation of game consoles arrive?

Well these guys obviously don't know much about programming or how programmers do their job. After a companies programmers create an engine for a console they are not going to be rewriting it to much. But they are going to optimize and rewrite areas to use more of the consoles power (threading areas that can be threaded safely). If we are still using an Xbox 360 in 7-10 years I would be surprised. Especially if Microsoft has anything to say about that. And besides there is more to a new console then just more horsepower or at least their can be. (Less power, more connectivity, more storage, new controllers, new OS+SDK).

Don't worry the next ones will be out around 2010 or 2011.

Why would they not release new ones? People are willing to buy and want better and better stuff.

Once games hit full 1080P and run at like 60fps on currect HDTV thats about the best we can get so at that point they can stop until a new TV comes out.

That of course has not happened yet so a new system will be coming out.

1440p hdtv's are starting to become available..... rare as hell but they are being produced in low supply/low demand at the moment.

oventually it'll be moved up to UXHD 7680x4120 anyone?

nope we'll see a new console emerge come 2010
