Still a significant single-player market, says Mattes

Ben Mattes, producer of the upcoming Prince of Persia title, disagrees with Phil Harrison's notion that the industry will move away from single-player games.

"I read that, and I don't totally agree," he told Eurogamer.net.

"I know where he's coming from - I certainly see a lot of the industry moving in the direction of more community, more multiplayer, that sort of stuff.

Thanks for that, I totally agree, never cared for online multiplayer games at all.

while single player will always remain there are games that are orginally built single player, that would royally rock if they had coop 2 player...

After playing Connan on the xbox360, it really screams for a 2 player mode...

Saying games will move away from single player is like saying that people will stop reading books and watching movies by themselves.
