Many thanks, I've been wavering on whether to buy GRID, and this may help.

I found the steering in the first demo a bit corny so perhaps this is just right. :^)

I'm liking GRID, seems their new concept of crashing is working well in game play, but have to admit I've not spent a huge amount of time playing it...

Zotac have chosen to ship the game with their new range of cards, good choice I feel

Sim style? Its fully arcade handling with realistic events thats all. The handling is definately not sim. I can't even play sim on my comp (no wheel or pedals) as keys just don't cut it when you need analogue control. However I have no problem with the controls in GRID. The thing is its like Pro Street should have been. Really good fun with a good damage model and good racing. I'm finding the Touge stuff really tough at the moment as I haven't quite got to grip with all the cars yet.

I think Mig-31 likes his racing games' simulation, up to Super Cars levels :-p

Yes i know its a arcade racer.even using a x360 controller the cars are impossible to control.Unless the are more options in the final version.

As i said above, the cars handle a little to sim like for my liking..even though there is no tunning or anything to do to the cars i find the handling around the corners way to unforgiving if its taken too quick or when the braking is left to late and end up doing a 360 spin.

I prefer NFS Most Wanted over this.Just a pity this don't work on vista (even using compatibility mode)

The cars handle nothing like a sim, if you want to see what a proper sim racer feels like, try Race 2007 or Forza, GRID handles a bit better in the patched demo, but is still nowhere near being realistic handling wise which is a shame.

That said, the game looks magnificent, and has a lot to do, I will buy buying the game over Steam when I get paid next week.

I have tried sim racers in the past and i can not stand them am not criticizing what has been said above..but it is just my opinion about the cars handling and nothing more..

Are the more options in the final version compared to the demo,if not i will be avoiding this one..Just a pity because i very much like the looks of the game..

I think the review is spot on, its brilliant, but a mix of sim style things with mainly an arcade "feel".

I prefer it to any other racing game. I played the Pc version at my friends and I didn't like it. The PS3 version is by far the best.

You really do need to give it some time though, it gets easier after a few hours of learning...

There are at least several other types of cars that are said to handle differently from the "bricks with wheels" from the first demo. I'm not so eager to jump on it and try but there's some hope in there I guess.
