New Need for Speed game unveiled

John Riccitiello has unveiled the next Need for Speed game and confessed to "torturing" developers working on previous instalments in the series.

Need for Speed Undercover, as the game is titled, will have been in development for considerably longer than its predecessors by the time it's released later this year.

What's more funny is the use of the word "torturing". From what I remember, perhaps he should remove the brackets.

So EA FINALLY admit to what we knew for years, the NFS team have been basically been locked into a darkened room and told to make a NFS game a year or ELSE.

I hope that EA have actually compiled 2 proper sized teams rather than just splitting the existing Vancouver team into two, I'm guessing we'll see the evidence of EAs new "Dev friendly" policy soon enough.

It's funny how he says that the team has been split into two and give double the amount of time to finish each game. So basicaly it is the exact same thing for both us as customers and the developers as slaves. Nicely done.
