The Sins of a Solar Empire Website has word on an upcoming version 1.1 update for Ironclad Games' 4X strategy game that's expected to be first released in beta from in mid-July (thanks Gamer's Hell). The Beta Change Log for the patch offers details on what to expect, including the reason the patch will undergo public beta testing: "Since this update is so huge and contains several brand new technologies, we are going to be offering it as an optional beta before its final release."
