First Max Payne Movie Trailer Released

The first teaser for the Mark Wahlberg-starring Max Payne movie was released early this morning. The film is currently slated to debut on October 17.

John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, Flight of the Phoenix, The Omen) is directing the film, with a script penned by Beau Thorne, a first-time screenwriter.

When was the last time Mark Wahlberg starred in a good film? Anything he headlines is sure to be average and since this is a game adaption that means it will certainly be terrible.

Trailer was alright at least...but Max Payne is kind of too little too late at this point.

Max Payne can't be anything less than Rated R or it'll be a joke. Nothing to see here folks, move on

I like Mark Wahlberg, not exactly sure why but I have never felt bored watching a movie he is starring in. The trailer looks promising and I will definitely watch it, though I have never played any of the games.

There's hope that the Unrated DVD of Max Payne will contain all the cursing and violence that they couldn't show in theatres so I'll wait for it.

yes you did say Starred in so The Departed counts as in Whalberg starred in that movie along with Leonardo and Damon and Nicholson .. if you had said "Was the main Star of" the Departed would not have counted

he may not have been the Star but he definatly "starred" in it

take Heat who was the Star Pacino or De Niro ?? Pacino had first billing so are you saying that De Niro never starred in it ?

Batman begins was Christian Bale the only star or did it also star Caine , Freeman , Neeson , oldman and Holmes .....

He definitely starred in the remake of "The Italian Job", and I thought that was a great little film.

Can't you guys tell the difference between ensemble cast and a starring role? Wahlberg was just one of the stars in Departed and Italian Job but in Shooter, Planet of the Apes and The Happening he's the headliner...and they sucked

So your saying that whalberg was the only star in planet of the apes that film didnt also star such minor players as Charlton heston , Tim Roth , Micheal clark Duncan , Paul Giamatti ,David Warner , Kris kristofersen and Helen Bonham Carter between them they have 6 oscars but according to you only whalberg was the star .... you sure ?

Also, even if one claims those films sucked (and I strongly disagree), it doesn't mean that they sucked because of his performance.

Actually, Wahlberg is an actor I like. He's in two of my fav movies (Boogie Nights and Departed) but when he headlines a movie it's because every major star already passed on it.
