FIFA 09 Stat Updating

EA announces FIFA 09 will be another of their sports games that will offer continuously updated player ratings based on the performance of the players during the soccer/football season. The announcement says purchasers will get a one league "trial" of this function for one season, implying this will include fees at some point. They also say this will work for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3, and though a footnote adds a "subscription to Xbox Live or PlayStation Network" to what's required, such a subscription will presumably not be required for the PC edition. The Leipzig GC 2008 trailer for the game is online.
