Spore's DRM Panned on Amazon.com
Spore is the highly anticipated new game by Will Wright. Typically before buying anything at Amazon.com I'll check the reviews, and I were to look at Spore's, I'd think it was a crummy game. The reviews average out to 1 star, with 20 five-stars, 12 four-, 6 three-, 18 two- and 626 one-star ratings.

Oh well, another PC game I won't buy. I am sure I will play it eventualy, but there is no way I am going to support with my money this DRM hell.

With all my heart.
I can live with CD checks and CD keys, under certain conditions I will even accept Steam, Gamersgate and Stardock, but that's about it. I hate DRM in all forms ever since I bought Simcity (the first one) for my Atari ST and it had a weird dark red page with codes you had to type and they were a bitch to see. DRM does not stop pirates or cheap asses. What DRM does is make certain gamers still play the game...but have the company that made/published the game not get any money. At least in my (eh, their) case. Anything like securom or other online activations (especialy those with limits) cause more trouble to legitimate buyers than to those that want to warez it or whatever it is called now. There isn't a DRM protected game that hasn't appeared available for people who want to steal it at worse a couple of days after release. DRM makers make money out of it and that's about it.
