Crysis Warhead (PC)
Let me get something out of the way: You do not need to drop five grand to play Crysis Warhead. EA recently announced that it's working with UltraPC to produce a system that will play Warhead at an average of 30 frames-per-second for about $700. While that's still more expensive than a console, it's a far cry from the "I have to drop a down a payment to play this game" mentality. Since the development target was this system and its midrange components, the optimizations that Crytek's Budapest studio applied to Warhead translate into a smooth framerate for such a midrange system and a general performance increase over the original Crysis.

![]() are they kidding me? let alone I couldn't run ultra high on 1280x768 without fsaa and keep it above 30fps with my setup, they think this thing will do it? In addition, without DX10 its drops detail a lot. The game was fun, but it was one of those games that the technical stand point which really made it good (gameplay was fairly standard). If Crysis Warhead runs smoother than Crysis, then good job to Crytek/EA for that. A DX9 XP system with those specs cannot run Crysis at a beautiful level of 1680x1050, ultra high 30fps and 5.1 surround. |

i doubt it will be much better. probably reworked and optimized engine to stabilize glitches and framerates. the game was designed with future hardware in mind. But unfortunately, the game gets no future updates, big enhancements for multiplayer for it to be a good purchase for people to play later. A game that would be a good example of being future ready is WoW, but the graphics haven't been modernized.
