Midway has released for free The Suffering, allowing you to enjoy the PC version of this horror game developed by Surreal Software. Gamers take on the role of Torque, an inmate who must face much more than his own inner demons and the harsh and gritty reality of death row, as he fights to escape the unleashing of the penitentiary's gruesome secrets in a challenge more terrifying than fighting death itself. The Suffering features ultra-mature content and three distinctly different endings depending upon how you choose to survive.

It's good to see decent games from yesteryear appearing for free. And it's a good thing there's DH to let me know about them.

(I really like the news at DH. There's always something appealing news that I don't find at the other sites I read, be that Amiga OS 4.1 or this game.)

I don't remember playing this game, but I do recall some positive reviews. Might be worth the DL this evening.

If you try to start, "XTREAMLOK" copy protection pops up and executable crashes.

Is that actually an official download? I see no press release at Midway Press Login
