Microsoft: Xbox 360 outselling PS3 two-to-one
Microsoft has said that sales of the Xbox 360 have doubled in the past two weeks, outselling Sony's PlayStation 3 by two-to-one.
According to Chart Track figures, sales were up 214 per cent in the past two weeks, in the wake of a price cut across the European region. ____________ Source: Gamesindustry |

I'm sure it is true, though perhaps with qualifications (such as "in the UK"). I must say that the recent price cuts do make the Xbox a lot more attractive. It's the least expensive console, with even the 60GB version costing less than the Wii, let alone the entry level version. It's actually closest in price to the PS2 (still 50% more expensive, but just a BP40 difference). This puts it in a new position, opening a new market. The PS3 is more than double the price.
