There are few surprises in Saints Row. From the moment you open your limited edition gun pack to the moment the game's soundtrack serenades you with all its 'niggas and bitches', you know what you're in for. What you're in for is, of course – and there's no getting round it – a bit like GTA. It's got that same mix of open world and sandbox structure, in which you're free to enact all your vehicular-based crime-spree fantasies. With lots of guns and shooting. But while the original felt a bit like playing a graphically spruced up GTA III, the new features in Saints Row 2 feel more like a graphically sharper version of San Andreas, right down to the comedy German on the radio.
