I'm still not looking forward to the possible sudden increase in the damn 120gb hd pricetag.... unlikely but possible.

maybe microsoft will release a 500gb for a decent price.. like 150 bucks

it's unlikely for proprietary hardware to be cheap. the 360 HDD is proprietary.

...although, since it does use a laptop HDD, i'm sure you can somehow modify it to put in a larger laptop HDD in there. if it'll work though, that's a different story.

i've actually been working up the balls to attempt to mod a xbox360 HD casing and see if i can force a larger drive in there.... however i don't feel like voiding my warranty

a 320gb hd would be more then satisfactory.... i would guess an initial launch at 200 dollar would be fair enough

then buy yourself a used 20GB drive from like GameStop or something, and put in a larger HDD in there to find out!

AFAIK 120GB HDD is the largest the 360 will accept. You can install certain WD drives.

I would have upgraded mine past 120GB but don't believe you can (yet).

1)I thought that the 1dvd games were not enough for them as it is now for some games.

2)I might be able to see it happening if we are talking about future games, but I can't see how it will make games already out there look better. Unless developers already knew that they would be able to do so in the future, and packed the discs with extra textures and what not.

3)If this actualy makes it happen we should be able to see either mutli dvd releases or finaly a BR drive.

well come new games could probably come with a highly compressed format that is to large to try and unpack durring the game loading

I suppose but you'd run into some serious storage issues especially if you download music ect. onto your 360.
The faster loading times would be a big plus though, Now all the modders need to do is find a patch to remove the christ knows how many developer screens before the game actually starts

I have to take this article with a grain of salt. Ben Fritz is the same guy that said Epic was being bought out by Legendary Studios, which was denied by Marc Rein an hour later (Ben still insisted that talks were happening even after that), and now this, an article that makes assumptions, but shows no comparisons, or doesn't mention whether or not he even bothered to verify his "findings" by any means at all.

Thing is there are other updates within the NXE that could explain the "sharper" image, one of which is related to graphics. Ben never mentioned what type of connection he is using, but one of the updates in the NXE is the inclusion of 2 more "native" monitor resolutions, those being 1440x900 and 1680x1050. If the 360 is now outputting to the monitors native resolution, then it's a given that the picture will look sharper. Microsoft has also not mentioned what other minor updates they are including, such as firmware or graphics tweaks, or other alterations to components that might shed light on why the picture looks sharper or brighter.

Ben, if you are reading this, be a journalist. Show comparison shots. Tells us your setup. Tell us whether or not you uninstalled the game to see if it still looked sharper and brighter. Tell us if you tried another game to see if this was an isolated indecent. Contact Microsoft for a comment (which even Shacknews mentions they tried doing). As it is, Ben, you were probably hallucinating.
