Opinion: The PC As Champion of the Revolution
Is the PC 'ground zero' of the current indie video game revolution? In this column, Phill Cameron examines how the platform made possible a 'crescendo' of independent gaming from novelty into subgenre.
It all started here. Decades ago, games were made on the first computers, on the Amigas and Commodores that took only a few people to develop, putting in long hours to come up with innovative ways to make pixels move on the screen. ____________ Source: Gamasutra |

Re: Opinion: The PC As Champion of the Revolution
Nice article. I disagree with it. Indie gaming is not the future of PC gaming. It will remain a part of it, as it has since the days of the Home Computers, but will not become what will be known as PC gaming. There were two periods, one in the late 80s and one in the early 90s that indie games were on the rise. (as shareware mainly). Later on it lost the spotlight. Now with the internet everywhere, it has a new boost, but that is about it.
